Groves has left their “handprints” on our hearts for the many ways they helped our son. They re-built the bridge to his self-confidence and humor, taught him how to self-advocate for his needs, and gave learning an entirely new meaning grounded in success. We heartily recommend their school and staff community as the best place for children to succeed!

My husband and I are so thankful for the Groves GPS program. Our son Patrick is doing well in college thanks to the wonderful support he receives from the GPS staff.

  • The Goal

    Support During Transition
The goal of the GPS Program is to provide young adults with the necessary structure and support they need for a successful post-secondary transition in school, work, and their personal lives. Support is available throughout the course of the academic year and during the summer. A History of Success

Groves Academy has been educating students with learning disabilities or attention disorders for over 30 years. As a division of Groves, GPS supports LD/ADHD students in their transition after high school. The program was created in 2009 in response to a growing number of young adults who struggled with this  transition and were frustrated with the lack of support available. GPS was originally available only to Groves alumni, but opened to the public in the fall of 2010. GPS now serves 15 students and is expanding rapidly to meet increased demand. While academic support is a primary component,  the teaching of skills that will contribute to lifelong success is the overall goal. The GPS Program aims for all students to lead fulfilling, independent lives of work, friendship and accomplishment.
